Why do we (or just me LOL) put so much time and thought into just the invites?
Anyhow I pushed back the printer appt till next week. So I have no time at all for screw ups so I want to make sure I do it right the first time. I need help proofing them. Tell if you think anything sounds funny, doesnt fit, whatever.
Also I designed them before joining this fabulous little community. So I have some questions.
1. My mom and dad are not together havent been for 20 years. I listed their names as "Daniel Smith and Lesa Connolly" is that okay since they are divorsed?
2. Travis's real dad had him when he was 17 and has never been in his life. The guy travis calls dad is his sisters and brothers real dad but his mom is divorsed from him too. Travis' current step dad is Travis fav. And he is actually a groomsmen. Anyhow all our parents wanted their names on the invites. But who do I put for Travis dad. Suitor #1 #2 or #3. If trav put his current step dad, the one he calls dad would be furious and since they work together we cannot do that. If we put the man he calls dad they wouldnt have matching last names. Which just looks silly. Travis isnt proud of his real dad but is of his last name. So the invite does say his real dads name. DO you think that was the right choice?
okay that was confusing maybe this will help
real dad= Kenneth Peavler
man he calls dad= Adam Bangs
step dad= Mike Cool
No parents names is not a choice since they have contributed. I would like to bump my fathers name off but it would uneven. And after all this work I do not want to start over. But I can exchange a name. TIA!!!

I still need to finish the quote note and the details insert. SO those will have to be proofed this weekend
Re: wow invites are stressful
i would put the dad that he calls dad. the guy who is in his wedding will have his name in your program but that isn't his 'dad'. it hink the guy who he calls dad should be listed.
Are you sure you guys want "their children" on the invite? I always think it's weird for people over the age of 25 to be referred to as "children". That's the only thing I can think of...
1st year anniversary in Victoria with a killer whale topiary!
Daughter and son might be more formal and less kid-like that children is, but it takes up more space.
Other than that, progeny just sounds ridiculous.
And I know this is late, but what if you did a deer tag with the quote. I know it's slightly morbid, but you could do a crafty version of one using this style tag in white or kraft brown (to go with the burlap). It would be subtle, but would tie in.

dreamwinds- I still may be able to make that fit thanks
I think we spend so much time on invites b/c its the first impression of our wedding, colors, style, etc. and we want it to be a good one. : )
Those RSVP's are hilarious! I love the decline part, 'trekking off to' lol! You are awesome!
