Ok....initailly FI and I planned on making sure there was a HUGE spread of food at the reception. Our reception hall (a university) is working really well with us and is not overly expensive at all! So right now this is our menu:
Fruit/Cheese Display
Crab Dip
Spinach Dip
Fried Catfish
Crawfish Pies
Meat Pies
Meatballs
Fried Chicken Drummettes
Boudin Balls
Red Beans and Rice Station
Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya
Shrimp Pasta-which we are considering taking off because its $104/per pan and we would need 8 pans...
All of this will be served the entire duration of my reception (4 hour reception) and the cost of this food is not even at $4300....FI wants to see if we can get the food down to $3000....what would you all do?
