Is it possible to get a new custom wedding dress, not off the rack, for around $1000 before May?

    What exactly do you mean by custom?  Design your own?  Boutique?  I got my dress at a boutique in the sale section, and it was altered to fit me.  I bought it in November, and it was ready just after Thanksgiving.  I also only paid $500 for it, and it was a $1500 dress.  Are you looking for an unusual size?

    Do you mean ordering a new dress instead of buying off the rack? If that is the case, you better get on it! I bought mine at Blush in Gainesville and it took about 5 months to arrive.

    Yes, I mean a boutique.  I want something special and unique, but unfortunately, I don't have 6-8 months!  Size isn't an issue for me...  Thank you for sharing your experience.  Do you recommend any bridal boutiques in the DC area?
