Want to know why I hate

my month board? 
Tell me what you think of this.  I might just be reading it wrong. 

CN: Girl wants to kick BM out because BM won't pay $130 for dress.  Everyone ass licks, one girl says OP is being a bitch (not in those words).  Then, she proceeds to ask if OP has ever considered using Ebay because it's cheaper, especially if the dress is made in a "Chinese sweat shop or used."

Did she just advocate buying from a sweat shop?  Or am I crazy?  I might be crazy (I'm hopped up on cold meds)

    Who the eff is buying BM dresses a whole year early?  That seems like a moot point right now.

    Blegh, every week it's like "ZOMG I picked out flowers!"   "ZOMG, I'm literally wearing the underwear I will wear on my wedding." Vomit.

    I admit I did book major stuff way early (venue in May for November '11), but those things book way early here.  Everything else can wait.

    Hayla?  I think she means the opposite, since she disagrees with OP.  She's saying "why would you advocate your friend buying something cheap/fake/possibly made in a sweat shop off Craigslist/Ebay?"  That's how I read it.

    I like how $130 is "pocket change" to the OP and yet she can't afford to pay for their bridesmaids dresses.

    You should see our month board. Half are married, the other half no longer care. People keep coming back to AW (even people who never posted before) and they arent' getting any responses. I feel bad for them, but not bad enough to respond. I'm being a selfish bitch these days.

    I can't imagine that a person would actually advocate buying something made in a sweat shop, but I couldn't begin to tell you what exactly she was getting it.

    Ok good. That's what I thought. H and I are getting each other gym memberships for Christmas since we decided we are both out of shape and I have a goal to lose a certain number of sizes by next summer. I don't want to get measured this early and have to pay extra for a plus size if I can go down a few sizes before July.

    I mean, I don't know for sure, but it seems early.  My friend's wedding is in April and we ordered our dresses about a week or two ago, just because they won't come in until midway through February.  We figured that gives us about a month and a half for alterations (wedding is 4/30). 

    Did she maybe mean just trying dresses on and not actually ordering them yet?

    ETA: I meant, not altering them yet, not not ordering them yet. I am too tired for typing :(

    Re: when to get fitted for BM dresses (hehe, bowel movement), my BMs ordered their dresses in, um, Feb or Mar for my end of Aug wedding, but that's because the store had a sale on in that month only.

    I really lucked out in the month board area.  We had some weirdos but we alienated them until they left.

    Oh Nates, I think she wanted to get them ordered now. Something about the store is doing a 20% off sale, which is great, but still... I would imagine there's going to be another sale like that at a point closer to the wedding. If she'd only ordered her dress from the same store, we would have gotten a 20% discount anyway, regardless of thuperawesomey sales.

    I say fine to ordering now, but no alterations yet.  But if you're concerned about size, I would just tell her.  Unless the dress is being discontinued, I don't think there should be a problem ordering later.

    I know this thread is long dead, but I just found it and I wanted to tell that I completely feel you 100% about our club board. I rarely post over there anymore because it's just so... ridiculous. I know we usually post regularly in separate threads, but us sane girls need to stick together.
