Wedding Dress Shopping

Hello Ladies,
I haven't posted on this forum before because I'm getting married in Vegas but I live in Cincinnati (just recently moved to Ohio) and I'm going to start dress shopping.  What is the best bridal store in town or nearby?  My budget is around $500 for my dress.

I would go to Reading and check out the bridal district.. thereI know Bridal and Formal is pretty popular and they definitely have dresses in that price range, but know that its very busy and the dressing rooms are one big room that all the brides are in together.. There is also Wendy's Cincinnati Bride across the street...

I agree, go to Bridal and Formal.  Although I can't tell what size you are, so this may sound strange.  If you're not a sample size, try David's first.  They have dresses in all sizes, and you can see what styles work better on you.  That made it much easier for me to find a dress, especially since it was harder to tell what it would look like on since I'm not an 8.  They also have samples for sale upstairs- I had a friend get a Vera Wang sample dress for around $700.

    GL!

Bridal and Formal can meet that budget.

Also, they're having their annual tent sale for off the rack sample size dresses in September.  If you're between sizes 8-12, this would be perfect for you.

Don't go to Wendy's or at least not their alterations department.  Dealing with them has been terrible!

So this is weird, but it's what I did.

I got mine from Bridal and Formal's bridesmaid's sections. I went online ( I loved WToo and Watters) and found a few styles of bridesmaids dresses. Then, I ordered it in white. They had a few shades of white in each dress too.

Here's what my "bridal gown" looked like:

I paid 200ish and got a dress I loved more than any wedding dress. It's an option if you like more simple gowns.

love your dress! i did something similar--tried on a bunch of wedding dresses that were too heavy for my beach wedding. since i kept complaining i was hot, the consultant brought me a bunch of bridesmaid dresses that i could order in ivory. took a big risk in ordering a dress that i'd only seen in navy, but i got a bill levkoff dress and added a sash for about $200 :)

I had the worst experience with Bridal and Formal.  It was so awful.  I happened to go across the street to European Bridal and I ended up getting my dress there.  I had the best experience there.  I am modest and my sales consultant was very respectful of that.  There are individual changing rooms, and the best part was my dress was only $250!
