Want wedding venue that allows me to bring in caterer , help:(

Any one know of any wedding venues in Cuyahoga/lake county area that allows you to bring in your own caterer? Me and the groom are vegan and although I have been told by caterers they can make us good food..dont trust it vegans eat much more then pasta with marinara sauce and also being vegan much rather deal with an all vegan caterer so I can be sure everything is vegan..Thanks Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You'll need to find a venue that doesn't offer food to be able to do that. Some suggestions that I know on the east side are Holden Arbortuem, Wildwood in Mentor (owned by the City). Basically any place where you are basically renting the facility & bringing in everything yourself. I would check with the local park systems (Lake or Cleveland Metorparks) & cities that interest you. Some cities have very nice city owned facilities that don't have a rec. center feeling to them. Also some cultural facitilities such as local German, or Irish or Italian clubs may allow you to rent their facitilities for a wedding & bring in your own caterer if they don't have a specific one they deail with. It will be a little more work because you'll have to coordinate the tables, chairs, linens etc, but I think it will be worth it to be able to have a caterer that meets your requirements. For a situation like this, if your budget allows for it you may want to hire a Day of Coordinator to deal with the set up with the different vendors to help relieve you of some stress on your wedding day.
  • Check out Marigold Catering, I think they do vegan food and they have a list of venues that they work with.
Also- check out Wendy Park at Whiskey Island, The Old Court House and The Skyline Lake Room at Ariel Center.

Don't forget that using a non traditional venue might be way more pricey then using a party center or a venue with catering, as you will have to rent tables, chairs, linen, glasses, silverwear, etc.

    Good Luck!

  • We had ours at Skyview Lodge in Brunswick, they allow outside caterers.
  • 78th street studios art gallery in Cleveland allows outside caterers. I wanted our reception there, but I was shut down lol. It's a beautiful space if you like that sort of urban, artsy feel!
