Is anyone here taking dancing lessons for their wedding?

I can't dance to save my life and I don't really want to sway back and forth on the floor for 3 minutes with my FI during our first dance. I want to take lessons, but we don't really have it in the budget.

    Check your local colleges! My college (Cleveland State) had a tango club. You could have 6 lessons on sundays for 25 dollars each if you were a student and 30 if you were not. I have two left feet but the classes were fun and laid back!

    Edit: That's $25 each person enrolling- not each class! Less than $5 for an hour long lesson.

    I don't think we are doing lessons, our schedules are crazy busy right now... So we'll  probably end up just swaying back and forth.

    FI bought a Groupon for some lessons so we'll be doing at least a couple.

    We took ballroom swing lessons a few years back with the intent of showing off at our friends wedding, but we never danced at all at their wedding. FI hates dancing, but he surprised me with the lessons. I've never let him live it down, so I'm making him do a ballroom swing dance with me as our opening the dance floor dance.

    Not to brag, but my FI and I are pretty good dancers already ; nbsp;so we will be swirling and twirling around the dance floor with no problems...and no lessons.

    We are taking a six hour class at the community college, $56 each.  Before that, we were watching a lot of youtube videos, not a bad option since it's free!

    We REALLY need the dance lessons, thanks for the college idea!! I hate dancing (unless I'm trashed) so hopefully lessons will help!

    FI and I will also be doing the swaying back and forth. There is no way that we can squeeze dance lessons in. Besides, I'm just happy to be dancing with him at all. He HATES dancing.
