Gift help for Future Husband...

I just got engaged on Wednesday, and I'm trying to think of a gift to give my future husband.  I tried to be sneaky about his opinion on a nice watch, but he said that something like that is something he wants to save his own money and buy himself, not receive as a gift. 

Did any of you buy your FH's a gift in response to the engagement ring, or just on the wedding day?  If so, what??

    Congrats on the engagement!
    I did not get H anything when we got engaged.  Come to think of it, we didn't get each other wedding gifts either.

    I'm no help. I did not get my FI anything after our engagement either. We are not getting each other wedding gifts. We are saving for a new home, so we agreed on no gifts until we are in the new house.

    I really considered getting my fiance something after we got engaged.  But in the end, I didn't.  I'm sorry to be of no help, either!

    I did not get Fi a present after we were engaged. I am surprising him with a groom's cake at the RD... other than that, we are not doing presents.

    I did not get him an engagement gift.

    For wedding gift we are writing love letters to be read to one another on our wedding night.
