Oh my sweet mother-in-law.... Please BACK UP!!!!

Have you ever had someone who is just sooo sweet... but not??

I'm more than happy to have my future hubbys mother help with any planning, and have gone out of my way to make her a part of this special day.
Unfourtunlty she is too involved. Example:

Last Friday she took it upon herself to call everyone on her side of the family and demand they send there rsvp asap. And if they did not, we would NOT allow them into the reception!!!

Also she went ahead and did a registry at Macys for us because she just didnt think people would like having only two options in the gift department.

Lastly, she called my MOH and asked her to "talk me into" adding her and my mother to the SAND CEROMONY BECAUSE SHE THINKS ITS JUST APPROPRATE!!!

Ive had both my fiance and her husband talk to her but as the day gets closer she gets worse!!! Calling at least 5 times a day to insure I am following up on the little details. Of course she has offered weekly to be the planner. Cris at Cg Blume has offered to do day of exacution planning and Im thinking of maybe letting her, maybe she can shut my mother-in law-down.

PLEASE HELP, if anything pray that I dont kill her in my beautiful dress ( which she thinks is to big, and would be willing to pay for a new one if I decide to be a little more "elegante")

eeek, how inappropriate and frustrating! I'd say, all you can really do is just tell her you've got it under control, and you'll reach out to her if you need anything from her. Then, you just basically ignore her and let it slide off your back. Unfortunatly, we can't control others!

Maybe you just need to tell her yourself.. Maybe she doesn't feel she is doing it and if she hears it from you she might understand more..

    Best of luck

oh man!  I sympathize.  That's so much not needed stress when you are getting closer to your big day.  Wish I had some advice, but it's a sticky situation and you don't want to alienate her completely.  Does she live close?

On a side note, what does your dress look like?  any pics?  I'm curious to what dresses people are choosing.

    Good luck!
