DESPERATE!!! Cheap outdoor wedding venues??!!

My fiance and I had a date set and was about to order invitations, (I even bought my dress and had it sized!) and our venue fell through! We can't use them now... (long story...) And now we DESPERATLY need help!!!! We are open to ANYTHING! I love outdoor venues, he doesn't care as long as I'm happy. But really, at this point, we need anything affordable but still nice. (Under $5,000 perferably) We are open to anything, so ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated and welcome!!! We both live in central Indianapolis, but traveling throughout Indiana is fine by us.
PLEASE HELP US!!!!! Cry

    Ask your local board!

But...wineries, state parks, city parks, a friend with a pretty yard, etc.  Mr. Google is your friend.

Go to the Indy Parks website. You can rent park space for SUPER cheap, and they're not all just little picnic shelters either. The Pagoda at Garfield Park can be rented for $250, and it is really pretty! If you want a place that will also do the catering and everything, check out Valle Vista in Greenwood. They have a ton of event space, but one of the rooms specifically opens up to the golf course so it would have an indoor/outdoor feel. Their prices are very low.

Wow I didn't know Indy Parks had stuff....now I feel ripped off P:

I was also looking at the Canal to have my wedding (then I was worried about rain and parking).  http://www.indycanalevents.com/   You need to rent space, and they have perferred vendors for renting chairs / tents / etc.

I had my June wedding @ Valle Vista.  I was too scared of it raining, and so their "outdoor" patio (two walls are open to nature :)..but can be walled in for heavy rain) was a perfect comprimise for an outdoor wedding with rain shelter.

Valle Vista has a "minimum head count" for food (I think it was 200 for evening weddings). Basically we paid 8k for food.  And we paid $1000 for access to use the patio for our ceremony.

It was the cheapest place I could find that was outdoorsy (hell...someof the indoors places wanted to charge 15k+ just for BEING there....omg.).

I don't know when you are getting married but the Garden Chapel in Greenfield is adorable.  I was going to get married there because of uncontrollable circumstances.  It seats about 150 people and very resonable.  Here is their website.  http://www.gardenchapelweddings.com/
