Cherished Video PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone!

         I used Cherished video productions for my wedding on May 22, 2010. I was wondering if anyone else has ever used them. I still have not heard from him and Im nervous. I know that it was wedding season and I am sure he is crazy busy, but I have not even gotten an email back!

    First, check your agreement to see if there is a promised or estimated time of delivery. If it says 6 months I don't see why you'd be alarmed already. Have you tried calling? Sometimes emails go to spam. They look like they have a good website and are affiliated with many of the area top wedding vendors. I think you may be just over-reacting here.

    Ive called many times and left mesages and emails. but there are no estimated return dates, I would just figgure that he would at least email me and say something.

    My wedding was November 14, 2009 and I still have not heard from him. My husband and I have called and emailed - I don't know what else to do? Did you end up ever getting a hold of him??

    My wedding was on Sept 12 2009 and we still do not have our video.  I am in a legal matter with Bill Totten and Cherished Video, and have filed a complaint with the State on NJ for fraud.  I have had the same problems will Cherished video...no emails back, no phone calls back.  He gave us multiple stories.  Our lawyer wanted me to find other couples who have had the same problem with this company.  Please email me at my person address:

    I was also married on Sept 12, 2009. I received my video in Aug 2010. It took months at a time before I heard from him and there was always an excuse. When he finally told me my video was completed by email I was still unable to get in touch with him to have it delivered or set up a time to pick it up so I sent my husband to pick it up personally at his home, good thing we don't live to far away from him. I honestly don't recommend anyone to use this company. I can't even tell you how stressed out I was from the absolute complete lack of communication I had with Bill.

    I got married on July 4, 2010 and he promised me my video by October-that never happened and getting a hold of him via phone or e-mail has been impossible.  The few times I was bale to get a hold of him I got a lot of personal life sob stories of why it wasn't ready but that is was "almost done".  Well in November I called and he then promised me I would have it by Christmas as I planned to give them out to our parents as part of their Christmas present.  I of course never heard back from him.  So, last week, after 11 phone called and 3 e-mails with no response since November, my husband called and Bill told him how sorry he was and that he is no longer in the business due to the bad economy and that our video would not be ready as promised, by Christmas.  He told my husband that we were the next set to go to editing and to keep in touch and to please apologize to me for his lack of response.  I don't know what to do.  I know he is now giving my husband the run around as well.  All I want is my video.  Hell, at this point I would settle for the raw footage and send it elsewhere to be edited.

    We contracted with Cherished Video, over one year ago! My husband even went to his residence, numerous times and each time: Bill had a different story. Promises to deliver, Promises never kept. He took our money, contracted another videographer to take the video and claims he is behind in editing. Our son and daughter-in-law were married July of LAST year, 2010. Contact me if you are entering into a lawsuit or already have legal action pending.     I am appalled with this man. This is the master of all fraud: Young couples have very little money to invest in video. We helped them and this was part of their wedding gift. Our son serves in our military and is a very caring, compassionate man, hard-working man. To deceive and steal from young couples, on such a momentous occasion is beyond: Fraud it is ..unconsciouble! Soul-less! and to maintain the level of misconception by repeating that the video will be completed in 4- 6 weeks, over and over again. I am Outraged! You should be Outraged!

    Advice for other couples: in this economy it would be much better to get a friend to take video..even better, more than 1 friend...and than get a contact of someone who is going to school and mastering editing...have it become a school project and you will get it much quicker and sooo much more afordable. More Money does not equate to Better Quality. Early lesson is ....less is more..in the long run.
    Cherish your own memories and employ those close to you that you know you can trust.
    The reason I am stating the above is: I checked this guy's credentials. Through this site. He was recommended by various sources. Now, they realized that they made a big mistake and even if you search for Cherished Video...it is hiding deeply. Very hard to find these (MANY) cases of Fraud that are building with this particular Videographer. These complaints should be Front and Center to prevent other couples from engaging in the same scenario of deceit.
    Let MY Knot know to bring this to a higher level of visibility.

    We have also been deceived and taken. Our money that is, and still no video, 1 year later. we are suing in small claims court. Monica
