Advice needed and appreciated

So...now we are going to the ball on Saturday, and I want an opinion on this dress:

Mine isn't black, it's "raspberry," which is like a dark reddish pink. It looks fab on and has sleeves, which is a big plus for me. It also has a deep V in the back, I'm just wearing earrings and my e-ring. I do have a question about nail polish, though. I was going to do a coral, but it looks funny with the dress color which is pretty close to this: (it's a little more pink than purple, though)

Suggestions on polish color? FI suggested a green I own that is is shiny almost metallic evergreen, but I wasn't sure if that would be appropriate for something like this or should I stick to something more conservative? I own a ton of polish, so any ideas are appreciated. Also, any advice so that I don't make an ass of myself. Thanks ladies.

    If it were me, I'd probably just go with a french manicure.  I'm a total nail polish hoar and change mine everyday sometimes, but I think that for a ball, simple is best.  I can't wait to see pics!!

    I don't do my nails ever but my mom does. She's super in style and for the wedding kept telling me the new nail polish is grey or white!

    Cute dress!  I hardly ever paint my fingernails.  But when it is a nice dress-up function I typically go for the french manicure.  Or sometimes just clear nail polish can go a long way.  Have fun!

    I was also going to say grey.  It's very stylish.  What color shoes are you wearing?  That would be the deciding factor for me.  If you're wearing silver shoes, definitely go for grey nails.  My personal favorite is "Loophole" by Essie.  If you're wearing gold, go for more of a gold tone.

    I don't do French tips, so I would stick with a neutral.  I think a grey or a ballet pink would be nice.

    Thanks guys, there will be pics, hopefully by the end of the weekend. FI and I for some reason take awful pictures together. There are fine pics of me, and fine pics of him, but never at the same moment, so I'm really hoping we get a few good ones here. I'm both excited and a little terrified.

    In other news, FI has his second re-classification meeting today, so I'm trying to send him the best vibes possible.

    Well, the pics aren't fab, but not bad. I'm pretty sure pale skin adds pounds, or at least that's what I'm telling myself. :) Will post pics soon, just wanted to say thank you guys so much for helping me with what to wear, I was totally appropriate and complimented on the dress.
