  • Honestly, I don't think we cut back on much of anything. We are doing exactly what we want which isn't lavish to begin with. We didn't go over the top with anything really but that is what we wanted.

  • We cut out a candy buffet which I wanted to do originally. Otherwise in terms of lifestyle changes, not really. Except for being more conscious of not eating out as much. Every penny helps.

  • Not much really...I don't consider myself an extravagant person to begin with.

<div>Same here.  We've cut back on the fun stuff like going out the eat, going to the movies, etc.  Also, I haven't bought any new clothes or things like that since we started planning (saddness)</div>

  • Not really cutting back much, just trying not to spend on major items until after the wedding (ie: new bed, car, etc).
We are also working on paying off most of our debt by Feb so we can take out a loan for the wedding and not have any other debt.
  • We cut back on eating out and shopping.  Well I cut back on shopping for the most part.  That's mostly because we're saving to be able to afford to move as well as pay for parts of the wedding.

<div>Ditto. We still go out to eat occassionally, but we used to do a nicer restaurant once in awhile and those are pretty much cut out. I also haven't bought new clothes unless it's something I really desperately need.</div>

This. We may have cut back on eating out a little bit, but I really don't mind all that much. I wish FI would cut back a little more on the little things that add up quick like getting breakfast or lunch everyday (or buying little snacks from the gas station when we have stuff at home).

  • We've started to cut out nicer dinners out, and lots of event-type stuff on the weekend, but this time of year is so hard for us. Not only because of the holidays, but because my birthday is in about 2 weeks, and his is 3 weeks after that.

Personally, I've cut back on mani/pedis (which used to be my favorite thing to do every other Friday after work), as they were adding up. And I have all the supplies to do that at home.

  • Eating and shopping for sure. My working in a clothing store has helped me save on WR and NWR clothing essentials. I've also been couponing a little bit, plus we switched internet providers to save money.

</div><div>This! We have so much food in the house yet he insists on spending $$ on stupid snacks. It is so irritating. He says "it's only 5 bucks" and doesn't get that after a week of that it's $35. We are working on that one.</div><div>
</div><div>Other then that we don't really go out much, we're on opposite work schedules so the most lavish thing we do is driving to see his family every other weekend. We're pretty lame lol

I feel like I scaled back a lot lol but thinking About it I guess not! I stopped getting gels I had those since high school figured I'd let my nails go natural it's been over a year and saves me on average 30 to 50 a month. I don't eat out as much as I used too. I'm more practical when I go food shopping and shop around target vs publix. I use coupons if have them haven't figured out that whole 5000 coupons means I pay 5 for 700 worth of food lol. But given my bills i still put away decent amount of money.
