Is this really legit??

OK Girls.. I need your help!! My brother is in the Army and stationed in Germany where he and his FI live. I have planned their wedding here on a super tight budget! Under $500 for food and everything for a pretty nice wedding for 65 people. I did EVERYTHING DIY to save money and put TONS of time into it. Now that they have met with the Pastor marrying them she is demanding that they give her $200 for 30 minutes of her time!! That seems CRAZY to me. I know that you usually gift money to the church or something but demanding that they pay HER and SOOO much for such a short time? Has anyone heard of that? I was thinking maybe $100.. everything else I am doing as they have no more money. HELP! Wedding is THIS SATURDAY!! :(

    I'm sorry for the unexpected cost for the officiant.  Our officiant was $300.

    Can you or someone they know and trust/respect/etc become officiated online?  That would probably be the cheapest option.

    Our officiant was $350. Like pp maybe look online or can some one get ordained to do it for them?

    Wow, that seems rough to me. Our minister is $250 and that includes pre-marital counseling. I agree with PP - see if someone can be officiated online?  You might also check with the County Auditor and ask for a list of officiants (I know Pierce County has a list).  Good luck!

    I thought I had a couple of other people lined up but things kept falling through. Then we went to the church that my brother went to before deploying and that is who is marrying them. I wouldn't mind the $200 neccessarily but she won't meet with us to go over things or anything. :( I would LOVE to do a quick run through of how it will all go down on the day of but she won't do it. I am just doing it with the rest of the wedding party I guess. The lady seems so detached and uncaring. It bothers me. Especially for having a ton of my family and friends that go to her church. Trying to find someone else but with less than 72 hours to go it is not looking good. :( Good Luck to me!! Thanks for all the input! :)

    This is totally random (because I'm useless in this situation.. we have a free officient = FI's bff.. sorry.. ) but where in Germany are they stationed? I grew up there.. and miss it terribly.
