Weekend Updates :)

FIll us in on your NWR and WR updates from the weekend!

Re: Weekend Updates :)

  • WR: My FI got to go in and try on his tux! Which looked great and we are almost done addressing our save the dates and plan on sending them out next weekend! :)

NWR: We had our last and sixth Christmas celebration this past weekend! I loved getting to spend more time with my family. Then I moved back to school after a month long vacation and started my last semester of classes today!
  • WR: we sent out like 80-90 percent of our Save the Dates on Saturday
Also attended a wedding show looking for transportation and flowers with my mom and got some good discoutns and lots of material to review :)

NWR: Fiance was at drill all weekend (so he stays about 45 min away) so I did a super duper cleaning of our apartment. It feels so fresh and clean

My dad is now out of the hospital as of Saturday but still can't walk far without losing his breathe. He said that he has had time to think about a lot because of his "near death" experience nad wants to be more involved int eh wedding planning since this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. i thought that was really sweet.

  • WR: I finally found the BM dresses and ordered them from David's Bridal. They're really cute. I had quite an ordeal, dealing with one of those Chinese knock-off sites, and then finding the most amazing dresses but finding out they wouldn't be restocking them in my girls' sizes. The ones we settled on, funny enough, were ones we saw back at the beginning of our hunt. Also, my Mom and I designed the wedding favours, which are honey jars and have a very beautiful Victor Hugo quote on them. "Live is the flower for which love is the honey". My mom is really crafty when she wants to be, and threw together a great prototype fort the tags.

NWR: We went to a Christmas party for FI's work. They had it later so everyone could come, since he works for a pizza place and Christmas is their busy time. Because sales were up this year, they had an open bar. And I can't drink. So that was not fun. Also, this is NOWR (not OUR wedding related) but we went to a friend's wedding. I didn't know them, but FI did from school. It was nice. Very low key. I'm getting tired of going to weddings without dances, though. It's very common for people in FI's circle to do that since it's against many of their religions to dance, and instead the reception is full of a bunch of dumb games. Ugh, I really was hoping there would be a dance. Plus the food was crummy (professionally catered with frozen veggies. Yay.)

  • As someone who has been procrastinating with wedding planning, I got so much done this weekend!

STDs ordered, baker chose and put down deposit, dress ordered (!), and dj secured!

This week I also have my contract meeting w/ my photog/videog that will hopefully finalize a photographer and a meeting with the priest/church on the weekend.
    Phew! 7 months to go!

  • WR:  Bought my wedding shoes!  Got the save the dates together most of which are addressed and ready to go just waiting on FMIL to finalize her list and they will be going out within a week!

NWR:  Was very lazy this weekend.  Although me and FI went apartment hunting we had a lazy Sunday watching movies all day!!

  • NWR: Have a cold (again!) so that sucked. Went to my parents' place on Saturday for my younger brother's birthday party. Watched a TON of football.

WR: Got addresses from my FMIL for our STDs so hopefully those will go out by this weekend. Hammered out some more details for the BMs dresses (they all still get to pick their own dresses in their own colors, about knee-length but now we're thinking in more jewel tones.) And *most* of my family met his family for Sunday dinner (I have a huge family so four brothers and my parents; that leaves two sisters and two more brothers!) It went really well but I was soooooooo sick that I looked and felt miserable for most of it. I actually fell asleep on the couch by the end. Frown

  • NWR: I went to a fnp certification review course all weekend. My brain is fried. Went to my monthly craft circle get together....but it turned into a viewing party of "the business of being born" get together as most of our crafts ended up being quick or not working out.

WR: Well....I wanted to go to a bridal show in cbus as I still haven't been to a show in the 14 months we've been engaged but figured it was better to stay for the review course. I finally got my dad's list of invites (which was alot more than I thought it would be). Trying to find all the addresses I need to send out std's.
  • WR: We set a date, as you all know :) planning on getting STD done, over the weekend. And this wasn't over the weekend, but I just booked our officiant!!! :):) :)

NWR: Hung out with my soon to be step daughter, played the Wii and watched movies  i highly suggest love and other drugs, very good movie!! We also picked up the change up planning on watching that tonight!! :)

  • NWR:  Attended a celebratory mass for engaged couples.  Went out to dinner.  Enjoyed a surprisingly warm winter Saturday.

WR:  Booked our honeymoon!!!  I am so happy about this because I wasn't sure we would get one.  We are so excited!
  • WR: We're catching up!
-We met with the first music company we are considering, they seem great! I want to meet with at least one other company to compare. But we just chatted with our possible DJ and I'm soooo excited!
-FI is finalizing our STD design.
-My mom and two sisters went again to try on dresses. I think they are getting a better idea of what they'll pick.
-FI and I went to BB&B and started our registry.
-We signed up for our tasting (Feb. 11th!) of possible dinner items for the reception.

    NR:
We celebrated FI's brother's birthday and had delicious eats from here: http://charcoalkabobhouse.com/
    mmmmm
  • WR: We bought FI's wedding band!! We also went and looked at tuxes, just to get an idea. We'll go back in a couple of weeks to actually pick them out. We also started a registry at Bed Bath & Beyond! Took us two hours in the store, and we've since added some things online. FI enjoyed it since I let him be in charge of the price scanner gun thingy lol

NWR: Not a lot...did a little shopping, but mostly relaxed all day Saturday while FI was at work.
