My friend Ashley has to go in for back surgery next Friday. This is the second time in two months. They are trying something different this time and are going in near her hip, which is a greater chance to hit an artery. She is refusing any blood transfusion (not religious, she just doesn't like the idea) and she's signed a DNR (do not resusitate(sp)) so they won't try and revive her or keep her on life support. While I support her rights, she's only 24 and I'm worried she's making a rushed decision. We are trying to talk her out of making this decision right away and waiting until next week. I think she might be coming around, but all thoughts and prayers are appreciated. Thanks all!
