  Welcome to the Board and congratulations on your engagement! I can't help you with your quesiton, but I do recommend checking with the Iowa board on TK. Even if you can just get a contact person, you can network to find the particular type of DJ you are looking for.

  Welcome girl!!!! I would google local clubs or hotels.... they can help with DJs..... then I would see if there is a mac counter at the local mall and secure one of their artists for the makeup...

  Yeah I figured these were the responses I would get..... Looks like I have a road trip coming up soon to go see what I can see!!! Unfortunately, google just is not doing it for me.... I have checked in the Iowa board here on TK, and it's not looking good...
  
  In a minute, it looks like I may have to travel with my hair and make-up person, and pay for a DJ to travel to Dubuque..
  
  Destination wedding to Iowa... brilliant..... who's idea was this anyway????

  ok.. So I will ask..... What is the reason for Dubuque..... I am sure you can find something.. have you looked at the cities outside of dubuque?

  Hi nursing2u........ So why Dubuque????? It's close enough for our guests to drive from all over, and less expensive for us and our guests than many other locations........ then I found venue that I absolutely fell in love with the Grand River Center in Dubuque.... so Dubuque it is..........
  
  Yes I have been searching outside of Dubuque, but what I have realized is that the African American population in Iowa is low... sooooo I don't know......
  
  My baby abd I are planning s trip there in the next few weeks to find the black folks..,... LOL
