Dayton Bridal Show

I am definitely going to the bridal show this weekend! I am hoping for some good deals! Does anyone know if they actually give you better deals or is it just the same as if you found the vendors yourself. I still need a dj and makeup artist so I am hoping to find someone. I am also getting my dress at Alfred Angelo and wondered if they offer some kind of deal too. Anyone know? Thanks!

    I went to the October 2009 show, and I don't feel like I got much out of it. The only vendor we found through the show was our string quartet, Elegant Entertainment. They were fabulous, by the way, and I really recommend them.

    We already knew about most of the vendors we went with. The Cakery gave out samples, and I learned that the ballroom dance instructor was creepy. That's about it.

    FYI, my mother signed me up for the show with my regular email address, rather than the one I use for spam. More than two years later, I'm still getting ten to fifteen spam emails from the bridal show and its vendors.

    I went to the bridal show in January last year.  It was far better than the bridal show held in the summer/fall. 

    Some vendors offer a discount if you find them through the bridal show.   It just depends.  I believe we got 10% taken off of our bakery because we booked after the show.

    Don't be afraid to ask while you're there.  You never know what a company will do to earn your business!

    I am going to the wendys Bridal show at the Cincinnati Convention Center this weekend. I heard it is better than the Dayton show/

    I am having a dayton wedding not cinci. Some vendors wont travel so thats why im going to dayton. :)

    I am going this weekend as well with some girlfriends, both of whom are getting married soon, mostly to support them because I am pretty set. I am hoping to find some bridesmaid dress deals tho. Fingers crossed. 

    Definitely take advantage of things. I went to the show in October with FI. We won 2 free tuxes, $50 gift certificate, and $250 worth of flowers.... We got really lucky, but you honestly never know. Plus we got some great honeymoon info, pre-registered at BBB which took all of four minutes, plus we got some free cake. yum yum.

    All in all we had fun, it's a good experience.
