How much did you spend (or plan to spend) on wedding ring bands?

I want something that is basic, white gold, no need for any diamonds or anything.  Neither of us want to spend a ton on the ring.  Is there somewhere where you can get inexpensive but not cheapo wedding bands?  They don't need to match each other.  I would just like to have a white gold band myself.  Just curious as to what everyone else decided :)  Thanks!

I think it depends on the price of gold.  Maybe $100 or so?

Mine has diamonds and H's has a few because I made him get some "bling".  haha

For just plain gold bands, you are still looking at a few hundred dollars because of the high cost of gold right now.  Of course this depends on how wide you want the band, or if you want any detail.

Musicheals found her bands on ebay really cheap!  Don't count any store out if you're not really picky.  Boscovs often has sales on jewelry.  Macys is always overpriced in my opinion.  I got my wedding band at Jared's (in DE, but there's one in KOP too).

ultra diamonds has great prices and is willing to negotiate on top of that.  i got my band online at netaya.com b/c they had coupon codes, a discount, and cashback from a referral site, but we had a great experience with dh's band (simple, titanium) at ultra diamonds.

We got ours during a Christmas sale at Kay Jewelers in the mall last year... We weren't super picky about what we wanted and didn't want to spend a ton. We walked by the sale signs and made an unplanned stop. We ended up walking out with our bands (Mine is white gold with a row of small diamonds - I think it ended up being like $400 after the sale pricing. And DH got a simple titanium band for like $100).

Hubby and i spent a nice amount on our bands... My E-RING is designed in a weird way so i wanted a band that would match with the side stone so mine was 1067  but ended up getting it for 900 with a discount since we got the E-RING there. The hubby's ring was also 900 but we got his for around 800. He wanted diamonds on his since he said i should not have all the bling. The budget we had for both rings were 2000 but we are under budget. It really depends on what you want and where you go

Mine has a few diamonds, but not around the whole band.  It was about $375.

I was planning on getting a plain white gold band but now am thinking I want a few diamond in it. I have my eye on one that is 400 at Zales and FI is getting a Tungsten ring which costs 300. BUT I just found out Zales is having a 60% off storewide sale on Black Friday so I think we are going to wait.

Mine is platinum with diamonds all the way around and it was $1500 - J's is brushed white gold and his was $800 I think.  I know we probably overpaid, but we went to the same jeweler who designed my engagement ring and I really wanted them to fit together perfectly.

We did not get ours engraved... although we were thinking of doing that for my FI's ring.

We did not do engraving because my wedding ring is actually a guard, and the bands are too thin for engraving, and H's ring can not be engraved on (tungsten/titanium/whatever it is).

    Good memory, MH!

Yes, I purchased used but in perfect shape white gold bands from Ebay.  Mine was a whopping $48, DH's was $31!  Unfortunately, mine was too big and I had to spend $35 to size it down, but still under $100 total for mine!  We did not have them engraved.

I would be fine getting the used ones too.  If it's the ring you want, what a win-win!  I saw on either bravobride.com or recycledbride.com one for $49.99 that looked in great shape.  It's important to know his ring size too.  He's learning so much about himself throughout this wedding process :)

We got ours engraved because it's something we wanted to do to personalize them more. Both of ours say "PS I Love You 7.10.10" because it is what we always say at the end of our emails, texts, etc.

Here's DH's ring with the engraving:

My ring was about $400.  My FI's was $250.  Instead of looking at the "wedding bands" our jeweler had, he suggested a "stacker ring."  I found one with the small diamonds and emeralds I wanted that was intended to be worn with 3-4 other small rings.  It was EXACTLY what I wanted.  We haven't done engraving yet so I'm not sure what that costs.  Some sellers on Etsy have affordable rings also.

My FI and I just got hit a sale at Kay Jewelers and got our wedding bands there.  We got both our bands for a little over $700 and got $200 in Santa Dollars, basically a gift certificate that we can use next year on something else.  My FI got a plain white gold band and mine is white gold with 1/8 carot in diamonds.
