Recommendations for Bridal shops Northern NJ?

Hi all!

I'm going to start dress shopping and BM shopping soon. Any stores/boutiques in North Jersey highly recommended? For my sister's wedding, we shopped at Nonchalance in Morristown for our bridesmaid/MOH dresses, which I heard is no longer around.

Excited to start trying on dresses after looking at them and bookmarking online :)

Arlene's in Bloomfield. Kind of small but great dress selection & the girls there are awesome. I also went to GroupUSA in Jersey Gardens but didn't like it. On Saturday I'm going to Russell's Bridal in Linden & Hollywood Bridal in Kennilworth. They both came recommended from other girls here. I'm also going to David's Bridal in Springfield, which didnt come higly recommended, but I decided to see for myself.

I highly recommend Park Ave Bridals in Verona. I went there and found THE ONE. My consultant was so kind and friendly. She took her time to look at all the pictures I brought, didn't push me into any style I said I didn't like. She offered suggestions and only brought me gowns within my budget. HIGHLY recommend.

I went to the DB in Springfield (HORRIBLE experience). DB's are hit & miss. My friend & family went to one & found everything with no problem. So, you never know.

ETA: Russel's in Linden was pretty nice too. I went there about 6 years ago for bridesmaids dresses.

Park Avenue has a large selection and I found my gown there BUT La Belle Boutique tracked it down & ordered it for me.  I didn't like the setup of Park Avenue  and my poor parents were standing for 3hours... I love the set up of La Belle, it's very charming and they have a large amount of gorgeous dresses.

Bridal by Roma is another store with a large amount of dresses but I just didn't love the service.  Snotty and pushy.  Arlene's in Bloomfield is another nice store and they're not pushy either.

I bought my dress at Arlene's in Bloomfield.  They are very nice and will only show you dresses in your price range.  Just be sure to make an appointment, as it can get very busy.  Ask for Allee, she was great!

Check out Bijou Bridal in Paramus.  I got my dress and the bridesmaid dresses there.  They were wonderful to work with.  My consultant was Lisa, who was just a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Whatever you do, do not go to Bridals By Roma, they are by far the worst place out there. Do yourself a favor and google some of the reviews and you'll see what I am talking about, it's not worth falling in love with a dress there, trust me from experience.

I HIGHLY recommend Bijou Bridal, they were absolutely wonderful to work with -- when I had to get my 2nd dress last minute, due to above comment. Cannot say enough good things about everyone in that store.

Hollywood Bridal was also really good, I got my BM dresses there and they were very reasonably prices.

Jaehee is Englewood is great!  They are so friendly and helpful and I cannot recommend them enough.  Try going on a trunk show day so you can get a discount.  Good luck!

This. Do not go there if you want a nice comfortable, intimate experience. The consultant only helps you into the dresses. There is no recommendations or interaction. Also, they will try to hard sell you no matter what. Prior to coming in, I asked if they had a particular style of dress (I obviously already tried it on and wasn't going to lie about that). The owner stayed outside my fitting room while the consultant kept going out there. I heard them whispering to each other "Give her 20% off." When I told her that I found the dress cheaper somewhere else, she told me that she'd comp me a bustle. I told her I wasn't ready to make a purchase and she kept trying to convince me to put a down payment on it, saying that even if I didn't buy that dress my down payment would be good for any dress in store. Sorry, that seems sketchy to me. Then finally I got annoyed. The owner came in and asked me "What can I do to get you to make a purchase today?" I told her nothing and politely told that I wasn't ready to make a purchase, and that was that. She got nasty with me and stormed out of my dressing room.
