Are there any other students here?

Man o man I have been struggling to keep my wedding planning going with the stress of my senior year of college, an internship, work and keeping up with my housework.

anyone else in a similar position?

I have to keep reminding myself that in the end all of the above will be worth it

I totally hear you! I am in my second year of medical school and trying to prepare for my board exams while planning a wedding and attempting to sell my house! I have to believe that it will all work out, and you should too! Let us know how we can help!

Does being a grad student count?  I've been teaching for 13 years and I'm now working on my master's degree in Educational Leadership with the goal of becoming a assistant principal in the near future.

In September, I had a plan to fit in 4 courses this year, take 2 on campus this summer, and do my internship while teaching in the fall.  And then I got engaged in October.  That definitely derailed my plan.  Too many distractions, too many fun ways to spend my afternoon time instead of working on my course.  I've been more focused lately, but I'd rather be doing wedding stuff.

I'm starting my third course (of the school year) at the end of this month, and if I can really focus, I want to finish it quickly and start my fourth before the wedding.  I won't be taking on-campus classes like I planned since my wedding is right in the middle of the 2-week sesson.

I am a third year in college.  I find that at times it is really overwhelming working full time and now having a puppy that requires almost all of my attention (so glad I don't have kids while doing this).  I also picked September to get married, so hopefully my professor don't drop me for missing 2 days of classes for our honeymoon.  So don't worry, you are not alone!

Not a student anymore, but I can sympathize.  FI proposed at the end of December, and we are getting married in July.  However, we had both already signed up to take the Maine bar exam in mid-February.  Studying didn't exactly take top priority...it's out of my mind until we get the results in May, or as much as it can be.

Good luck with everything!  You have lots of exciting things ahead!

Speaking of classes...I just registered for my next course.  I saw on the syllabus that there were four required books.  Most of the books for my courses have been at least $75, some close to $200, so I kind of went into panic mode!

I always search for used copies on Amazon.com.  Boy am I glad I did this time!  I scored all 4 books for a grand total of $35!  Thank goodness for cheap books!

No, I went to school in NY.  We moved up here for a year and would like to come back (job-wise, we cannot stay immediately), so that's why we took the Maine bar.  We're already admitted in CT, so we only had to take Q1&2, so I'm really just a big whiner.

    I went to Columbia.

Back for more schooling?  I cannot imagine going back, but I'm not even a year out of law school, so maybe that will change eventually.  Props to you.

Nice! I almost went there this time around, but am in Boston instead. Funny thing? If I'd chosen Columbia for my MPH, I would have been classmates with Chelsea Clinton.

Yeah, I practiced for about 3 years and it was a combo of the economy (icouldn't really move practice fields easily) and me just wanting to pursue a really different area of law that led me to go back. 5 years of grad school, however is way too much not to have a PhD after my name. haha. Seriously, this program has been awesome, but I'm super excited to be finished in May.

Don't worry you are not alone! I have a stack of textbooks on my coffee table and next to those are a stack of DIY wedding books....
