    What kind of music do you and your FI like?

    We used a country song, but I know not everyone likes country.

    We're using a song called Northern Lights by the Bowerbirds.

    TTC since October 2011.
    DX with Non-IR PCOS in October 2012.
    Missing RIGHT tube due to a prior surgery to remove cyst-zilla (40 lbs!) at age 12.
    HSG showed tube was blocked - cleared by dye. DON'T DO CLOMID WITHOUT AN HSG!
    Cycle #8 with 50mg Clomid & TI = BFN
    Cycle #9 with 50mg Clomid & TI = No response.
    Cycle #10 with Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel shot = ???
    CD12 ultrasound showed no follicles above 10mm.
    CD16 ultrasound showed no follicles above 10mm (WTF)
    Clomid 200mg CD 16-22, repeat u/s on 3/11

    We are using ""As Time Goes By" from Casablanca. 

    Do you guys have a favorite movie that has a cute love song in it?  FI wanted something classic, I originally wanted some Michael Buble or country, but I do adore those old songs too. So, it worked out well...and FI hates country, so I knew that wasn't gonna happen!

    We danced to Ben Folds' Luckiest.  If you don't have a "song," then you can always google some ideas, and then listen/read the lyrics, and see if you and your FI can identify with any of them, but definitely think if there are any meaningful songs from your relationship already.  Good luck!

    Don't worry. We didn't have an official song until the day of our wedding! Husband wanted something a little more traditional, I wanted to words and melody to speak to our relationship. We mostly listen to indie/alternative, but we played a little of everything (except country). We kept listening to songs trying to find "the one" until we had it narrowed down to about 5 songs. He told me pick, I told him to listen to the lyrics (which I know he didn't do very well), so finally I called him the day of the wedding and asked between two- he agreed with my favorite and later said to me while we danced to it, "You're right. This is such a beautiful song- the words are beautiful and perfect for us." Made me smile! We played Landon Pigg's "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop." 

    Here was our list of top contenders, which IMO, any one of them would work for a first dance:

     

    •       “better together”  jack johnson
    •       “in your eyes” peter gabriel
    •       “by my side” sade
    •      “chasing cars” snow patrol
    •      “fields of gold” sting
    •     "18th floor balcony" blu october 
    •      “unforgettable” nat king cole and natalie cole

    I'm not sure what type of music you listen to, but I think that The Only Exception by Paramore and To Make You Feel My Love from Adele (originally Bob Dylan) are great songs.  

    FI and I are dancing to Stay With You by John Legend.

    I love the new Marry Me song by Train. I am sure it is going to be quite popular for this spring and summer's weddings.

    we are using "i wanna hold your hand" by the beatles but the version they sing in the movie across the universe, it's slow and sung by a woman and the first time i heard it i was in tears, i knew it was THE ONE :)

    I found the best way to find songs is youtube.com just punch in a couple artists names that you like and look down the list, i have found songs that i didn't even know about that way :) Good luck.

    We are using "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band.  I'm a huge DMB fan, and I loved this song since the first time I heard it.
