So I got an email last night from the hotel for my reception – they said please call ASAP (I thought, this is not a good sign)
They call me this morning and say they double booked my reception room. Said that the other group has been there for 5 years w/ a five year contract and they can give me the other (smaller) room. I said I’ve had my contract for at least a year, and there was no question there about getting that room, and that I have 170 people and they aren’t going to squeeze in the other room w/ a dancefloor. I have people coming from Poland and everything. I've had my deposit on that room for a year! She said she’ll have to talk to the powers that be above her and get back to me.
WTF?! How the hell can you double book the room? And why do you expect ME to move? Move the other party to the smaller room!
Needless to say, i'm freaking at my desk.
