Rehearsal Dinner @ Crabby Bill's--help!

Hi Knotties!

My FMIL and I were talking and she wants to host the Rehearsal Dinner at Crabby Bill's for a low-key/beachy themed evening.

Anyone have any experiences?  I have eaten there all my life...but I as just curious if anyone had pricing or menus or suggestions for a RD.

Thanks so much!

Lauren

    Hi Lauren,

I've heard good things about Crabby Bill's. We looked into doing our rehearsal dinner there as well. I found that their prices are comparable to other options in the area. A friend had a rehearsal get-together there where she didn't reserve space or do dinner. I know she was pleased with everything. They have a catering menu and then you can also work off their regular menu which is nice. I think you can choose 5 entrees off thier regular menu and then the same two sides for everyone. If you are looking to go to the one on St. Pete Beach you can email stpete@crabbybills.com for menu info or feel free to PM me your email. When I requested info, they responded very quickly.

I did mine at the one on St. Pete Beach and it was perfect!  There is no rental fee if you are inside.  You don't have to go with their three course dinner thing either.  We just offered a few selections off the menu with a side of fries and whatever veggie they had that night.  For alcohol, we ordered a gallon each of the crab trap (or whatever their fruity drink is) and margaritas and let people order pitchers of beer.  They even printed up a cute menu!  We brought in our own cake from the Publix there and they cut and served it.  I think it came to around 1k for 50-55 people.  It was super convenient since everyone was staying on the beach.  The staff was great too.  If you want a more laid back thing, I would definitely recommend it.  It is a little noise since you'e not in a private area (we had the whole back area that is to the right after you walk in), but it was still well worth it.

Let your FMIL do her thing.  The RD is the groom's parents gift to the couple, and if FMIL likes CB's, then that's great.

I am excited about doing the RD at Crabby Bill's, I hope it didn't come off negatively!

Anyway, thanks for all the help ladies.  I appreciate it!  My fiance's family is all from Ohio and they all curently live there so I am helping them find the best spot for what they envision.

Is Crabby Bills the place that used to be The Castaway?  If so, we had our RD there in 2008. It was perfect (food, service, etc.). The only issue I had was that I felt it was too small, but that was MIL's fault.
