Chuppah Question/suggestions...

hey ladies! my FI thinks he's going to have time in the next 68 days to build a chuppah frame. i want to have another plan to show to him that might make it easier for him to agree that he's not going to have the time. we are on a pretty tight budget and i want a simple frame that we can use to suspend a large tallith. does anyone have any ideas about a rental agency that is pretty reasonable? or suggestions on what to do?? thank you!

Re: Chuppah Question/suggestions...

  • Have you asked your officiant if they have one to possibly provide?
  • good idea, but no, they don't.
  • You could try Panache in WPB. I'm not sure if they stock them or their pricing but it's worth a shot!

</div><div>If youre looking to use a talis for the chuppah, a frame will probably be too small and too difficult. Heres a different idea - Go to Pier One or Michaels and buy four five foot bamboo poles. They're pretty reasonable. Then use a small bit or thread to attach one pole to each corner of the talis. For the ceremony, have four of your husband's closest male friends or relatives each hold one corner so you can stand under the chuppah, and it makes a really nice honor for those four people as well.</div><div>
