FELLOW BRIDES ON A BUDGET PLEASE HELP!!!! NEED VENUE ADVICE!!!!

Hi there,

I am planning a small wedding for October 2011. There will be about 65 people attending. I need some venue suggestions in the south jersey area, but not WAY south. I'm talking Mt Laurel, Hainesport, Cherry Hill, and north the other way the furthest I can do is Hamilton. I want to spend $50 a head. Thank you!!!!!

Masso's in Glassboro I think is around that price. It's nice there and the food is good. Not great but you won't get great for $50 a head.

We just booked with Due Amici in Cinnaminson.  I think they're prices are really reasonable.  Good luck!

Im not sure how good the food is etc, but Nicolosi Catering in Woodbury (maybe Westville) is cheap.  A few years ago some of their packages were $35 pp (no alcohol, but still cheap).

This is just a suggestion, but if you are looking to spend $50 a head you might want to consider a cocktail reception with wine and beer instead of an open bar. One of the biggest ways to shave cost is liquor and I think cocktail style receptions are just as much fun, if not more, than a big sit down.Since you're not having a large number of guests, it would work out even better I think. Besidesm, 99% of the people I've talked to say the cocktail hour is their favorite part of the wedding! :) Most places would be willing to work with you on this, I'm sure.

You might want to check out Villa Manor in Winslow.  Not sure if this is a good location for you but the two packages they showed us were $45 and $55 a person.

My friend got married there a few years ago and she was very happy with them.

http://www.brigalias.com If you go to "Our Menus" and select the two menus for Villa Manor, prices are listed.

McFadden Catering will do like $40-45 pp at the camden county boathouse in pennsauken.  you;d have to buy alcohol plus the rental fee for the boathouse, or Villa catering has cheapper prices like 45-55pp for villa manor and they have another location in Winslow down 73 called the winslow house that could possibly work the room may be a little big
