So, I'm just getting the full story this morning...
FI and I went out to eat last night at a local restaurant. We love this place because it's soo good about taking care of allergens in the food, which is amazing for someone like me who can't even come into contact with dairy, eggs, beef or gluten. Heh. Well, last night, I either forgot to tell our server or the server didn't tell the cook, but there was something in my food that ordered that set an allergic reaction off pretty quickly. FI saw it coming and was able to get me out to the car and back to my dorm before anything major happened. He gave me some Benadryl and my other meds and put me to bed. He then called my roommate and waited for her to get home. He explained what happened and told her to call him if I got worse.
I'm so thankful he was there. I've had to deal with a couple of bad allergic reactions like that by myself and it wasn't fun. He's been there for a few reactions that required the use of an epi pen (yay, fun!), but he was able to tell that I didn't need it this time. That whole situation gives me a little bit more confidence that he'll be able to take care of me for the rest of my life.
