Ordered the dress! Yay!
I'm starting my first year of graduate school, so I have to get a lot of major checks out of the way for our Vegas Speakeasy wedding before I start my coursework and teaching freshman English. My mom just got back from the Philippines, so we have to get the ball rolling. I wanted this White by Vera Wang dress, and it went on sale for $179!!!!!!!!!! but of course, no David's Bridal in town had it. They asked if I wanted to book an appointment, and I hesitated but said yes. I haven't gone out and tried any dresses yet, so might as well have some fun. I tried on 10+ dresses, not expecting anything to give me "the moment," but I did. In the dressing room, there are no mirrors so I couldn't really see it without everyone seeing it out of the room. BUT, when I was helped into it and I looked down at it, I just knew it was the one. I was almost afraid to look.

Mom, my aunt and my dad wanted this Oleg Cassini, and it is BEAUTIFUL and it felt like I was playing princess dress-up, but the moment I put my dress on, I could see what my wedding night, and the photos, and I could imagine looking at them when I'm 40, 50, 60... never thought I'd be so emotional about my dress :...) Now, the question is... to sash or not to sash? If I do choose one, it probably won't be a DB one and will instead be something more art deco, or something with feathers. However, I have a lot of time to make that decision.

If you do the sash, are you going to make one or just get one from some where else? Maybe you could make some mock ups and see what would look good with it if you decide to go that direction?
