engagement photos

Anyone have any creative ideas on engagement photos? Mine are coming up in about a month, in downtown Laguna. Any input is greatly appreciated!

I would bring two outfits.  Also, if you dye your hair I would have it touched up so your roots are not showing in the pic.  Wear some makeup so your lips and eyes so up.  HAVE FUN!!! Try lots of different poses and you may even want to practice in front of a mirror.  I am doing this for my chubby arms showing on my wedding day LOL :)

I just took mine. I had so much fun.

Ditto on the two outfits. I never ended up changing, but it made me feel better that i had it if i needed it.

Also, even if you are familiar with the location, I would suggest you go to your location again. It is amazing what you notice when you are thinking about your photos. It also helped me decide what I was going to wear.

    Good luck and have fun!!!

I agree with bringing different outfit choices - think about the colors you'll be using in your wedding/invites/save the dates/etc and choose clothing that will coordinate (Not necessarily matching, but complimentary at least).

If you're looking for less traditional pictures, layered clothing photographs well and makes the picture more interesting.  You may also want to bring pieces that can be used as props (a scarf, long necklace?) - these small additions also help to get away from the standard posed photos.

    Good luck, and have fun!

Be natural, laugh a lot! :) Have fun! Find an outfit (or outfits) that you make look and feel great. You can even take a pic of you in your outfit to see how it comes off on a camera. I agree with bring a prop or two...perhaps a meaningful item, something you have in common, etc. Don't forget accessories! Earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc make a difference (don't need all of these, less is more!).

Laguna is gorgeous, so have lots of fun!!
