Weight Loss Wednesday

How have things been going?  With October coming up fast does someone want to start a daily accountability thread?

  • Daily accountability would be AWESOME!

I went to the gym last night, and then GNC.  I'm doing their lean shakes for breakfast.  I gotta do something, I've gained like 10 lbs and I have no idea how.  I'm eating the same... even saying no to all the office goodies. next person to say it's stress will get a chair to the face.

Oh, man, that cracked me up!  I feel the same way, though.  My arms look...ugh.  I wish I could travel back in time and go tell my 26 year-ol self that my metabolism was slowing down and that beer =/= healthy.

    Daily thread would be awesome.

  • I had to stop working out again... my foot is really not cooperating, I see my Orthopedic Surgeon next week to make sure if it is or ISN'T broken... cause it still feels like it is... I can barely walk after work...

Even if he does stick me back in a cast... I will take it off for the wedding.. I can walk, just not comfertably lol

I am eating healthy though... thinking honestly of going on a LIQUID diet LMAO

Final Dress Fitting on Monday (I am sure it will fit lol)
  • I'm in a holding pattern from now until the wedding...5 lbs. more than what I wanted to weigh, but the fit of my dress will be messed up if I lose any more. Granted, I can't gain any either, but that wasn't in the plan anyway! At my first fitting they had to take the dress in almost three inches...boy, did THAT feel good!

My goal was to lose 20lbs. I lost 15 in the first 4 to 5 months and was super happy. Then held steady for a while, but in the last week or so I gained 3 or 4 back ... so I still have some work to do.

I fell off the wagon for a few weeks, but this week, we have been moving into our new house.  I had felt as though I had gained some weight before my first fitting back in July, so I wore two pairs of Spanx to help out, and she fit my dress to that.  Last night was my second fitting, and my Spanx were packed in a box somewhere, so I went without, and my dress actually fit!!!!!

I am so happy that I'm back to heading in the right direction.  Now to just keep it up.  Daily accountability would be great!

  • I will go to my fitting today. Hopefully my last fitting, and take my dress home. But...I am worried about how it will look. I guess if bad goes to worse - my sister is bringing me hose too and I can smooth out with those! I need to stay focused on my evening eating. I am taking in too many calories at night, and that isn't a habit I want to continue.

  • Doing really well, my trainer has noticed i've lost inches even if the scale isnt moving and he is proud. He said im gaining muscle and losing inches, so ill take it=)

I cheated a couple of times as far as eating, but id rather not deprive myself and binge.
Other than that ive been sticking to a healthy/clean eating.

I would love a daily accountability thread.
  • coming to terms with the fact that I won't be 120 for the wedding....or even 130.  But 140 is a heck of a lot better than 176!  No, I'm not at my ideal weight, I still have a belly I desperately wish I didn't, but I'm very proud of myself for losing 36 pounds.

  • Ooo, I'll join!  Though my body is a tough cookie to track weight loss on.  I lose inches instead of pounds because for some reason I pick up muscle like some kids pick up pebbles.

When I first started my excersize program, I gained 10 lbs, and lost 8 inches around my waist.  O_o.  Arg!   So I switched over to just running, and dieting like crazy (yes I'm not eating sustainably, shame on me for my salads).

At my last fitting, my MOH could fit both her arms down the back of the dress up past her elbows, with room to spare (yay!).  And I cried the whole time because i finally FINALLY saw a bride in the mirror.  Not some girl with arms that pancaked and jiggled, or who had no collarbones, or who had backfat spilling out.  It was like a dream.

Still trying to shed the last 5 to 10 without going too crazy and making my dress too loose again.  Now if I can only convince the FI to stop bringing Papa Murphey's home when he's feeling lazy...

  • I'll join this thread!  I have added a bit of jogging to my regular morning walking (dog walking).  I noticed I have lost a few inches and my dog has too, but the scale seems to be staying the same.  At my fitting a few weeks ago, I was comfortable in the dress and my mom recommended I maintain my weight.  I really wanted to be at 130 for our wedding on Oct 26th, but it's looking more like I'm going to be 135-140.  My trouble is being accountable for weekend eating.  A thread everyday will definately keep me on track.
  • I need it yes, I'm out of control right now!
  • I could use it.  I fell off the wagon a while ago.  Too many wedding things got in the way of the time I go to the gym.  Wedding appointments lead to not making dinner which lead to poor food choices.  My weight was holding steady, but I've been really bad lately.  I took a picture of my hair and makeup after my trial on Saturday and couldn't believe how fat my hips looked.  I did the classic back to the mirror camera infront of my face to get front and back.  My eyes immediately went to my love handles.. Not cool.  Also, when my dress came in it was a touch loose, but didn't need to be taken in.  Spending a ton of money to get it taken in didn't sound like fun to me, so that added to the lack of motivation to work out.  I'm hoping to be down 5 pounds by the wedding, and back to lifting free weights every other day, so my arms look good.
