I know this has been stated a couple of times, but thank you girls for being my main board and so understanding & non-judgmental! 
I lurk on the E board and sometimes others and I'm still amazed at how catty some people are there!  I mean, yesterday there was a post where they were being really mean to a girl on WP (it was since deleted, so maybe it was fake, but then, why waste your energy attacking someone?!), and then there is another one on E this afternoon where people are just attacking a girl for posting a venting fake letter to her terrible wedding guests.  I don't see how her venting post is any worse than some of their lame complaints about things that drive them nuts about other knotties (tiered wedding, cash bars, etc).  Gosh, some people just need to get off of the boards and get a life!  ~Now I should practice what I preach and get back to work! ;)

    Thats why I don't bother posting or commenting on there.  I'm having a non-traditional wedding and a lot of things we are doing would drive some people crazy, but its the way we want it.  We are the kind of people that want to use our own unique ideas.  One example would be Cash Bars.  It is very common in this area to use Cash Bars, and that is what we plan to do.  We are budgeting alot for the food so our guests can have a great meal, and then if they want to have alcohol throughout the night, the bar will be available for them to purchase whatever they may want.

    I agree. I mean I like to catch up on the boards just for mutual support and getting ideas from all the creative people on here but people can take things completely the wrong way and troll HARD. People, these boards are about weddings and if you have something NOT positive to say, say it in the most sensitive way possible. We're all gonna be crazy at some point. Down with the downers!

    I agree! I hardly even visit those boards anymore because all of the posters are so mean! The girls here are the best!

    Love you ladies too! I'm not going to lie...little scared to go on some of the others. I'm pretty traditional, but there are some things I do for the wedding that are just easier for me and my budget (i.e. using labels on RSVP envelopes instead of paying a calligrapher or handwriting my chicken scratch). I know that I'd be attacked on most boards for that....but to me it's just practical

    If you go search women's dress shoes they have a bunch of other choices in white as well as other colors in lower heels.

    That is so sweet!  I'm new to this board and I have found everyone to be very supportive and helpful.  Sometimes is just helps to have the opportunity to ask your little questions that seem like a huge deal to you at the time but everyone else in your world is thinks "who cares".  It has been great to have a sounding board.

    I hear you.  Last week I posted my invite wording  on I&P and was told that it was not right to do it this way or that way based on the rules of ettiquette and tradition (even though I hinted that we preferred the nontraditional route, which is really just traditional with a few twists), and all the suggestions I received basically re-worded the entire thing away from what we truly wanted.  I was just looking for basic punctuation and wording help, not a re-write of my entire invite.  It made me feel so terrible since my gut just did not want to have the traditional wording since it just didn't fit our personality.  I don't see how doing something a little different hurts anyone, and after talking it over with my FI we just decided what was right for us and went back to what we had before, which looks pretty good to us!  (We did take the punctuation/wording advice that was helpful.)  

    I have to remember to post things here more - usually the advice is nonjudgmental and more constructive.
