Menu wording (XP)

I'd like to put menus on the tables, either as part of place settings, or one per table, or something, not sure yet. But we're collecting entree choices with our invites. So my weird, nitpicky question is: how would you word that? Would you put the entree choices on the menu card, or just say, Entree as deemed by invite or something? Part of me's worried that if people get there day of and see the choices they'll be like, "you know, I'm not really feeling that beef I ordered six weeks ago, can I get the chicken instead?", which is maybe silly, but I was wondering if it's something I should avoid, and if anyone had any thoughts.

    If you have to get a count with your RSVPs, I guess I don't really see the need to do menu cards. 

    I guess it's a plated dinner right? We're doing buffet, so I'm going to have little cards that say what each dish is (and what it was prepared with for allergies/dietary restrictive purposes), but I think you could honestly just skip them. Unless they get to choose their sides or something? I honestly have never been to a plated dinner wedding before so idk how they work. haha

    Right, I would never do menu cards if it was a plated, pre-chosen meal, for the very reason you mentioned! Do you want the menu card for the look of it? If so, you could consider listing the passed appetizers, or the wine selections or something? I wouldn't do entrees, personally.

    If you want the look of the menu cards, but without the menu, you could consider "thank you" cards instead of menu cards.  I saw something similar on Pinterest and it is a sweet touch.
