We are getting married next year (09/08/12) and are putting together travel information for our out-of-town guests (which actually comprises almost all of our 50 invites). My fiance and I are debating whether we should set up room blocks at local hotels. Unfortunately, we are working with a teensy budget, so putting down a deposit for room blocks is not an option for us. Is it tacky to just recommend a few hotels on your wedding website and let your guests book their own, or does proper etiquette rule that you should get a room block?
