Suggestions for Inexpensive Florists or Do it yourself decor?

Hello everyone.

We will be getting married at The Vista on Seward Hill in September in Austin.  We are on a budget and are trying to find a good florist (easy to work with, inexpensive, reliable).  To be honest with you, I don't really know what a typical budget for flowers should be!  The ceremony will be outdoors, and we are planning on having about 12 big tables for our guests. 6 bridesmaids.

Thanks!

  • I haven't used them personally but I have heard really good things about Central Market (I think the woman to talk to is Donna).  Every post I have read on this board has given her rave reviews from both a cost and customer service aspect.  HTH
  • We had 10 tables and 5 Bouquets and 3 corsages total. Everything was diy and cost us about $150.

I would go with Donna as everyone seams to have a good experience with her.

  • Do either of you know how to get in contact with Donna?  Or what Central Market location she is at?
  • Donna is at the north location.  You just have to call the main number and ask to speak with her in the floral department.  She doesn't do email, so you have to call.

  • We used Donna Foster at Central Market (Floral Dept.).  Her flowers were exceptional & reasonably priced.  She was very easy to work with.
