Sewn in cups?

Have you guys heard anything about cups not being able to be sewn into strapless gowns?

    I suppose it may depend on the material from which the dress is made.  However, if you really want cups sewn in, I would take it to another seamstress for a second opinion.

    I never heard this and I know my sister had cups sewn into her strapless gown.  But as stated before, there may be other characteristics of the dress that won't allow for cups to be sewn in.
