Alaska Cruise

FI & I have decided to do an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon next August!

I am very excited that we finally both agreed on a destination! However... I don't know where to start. I would imagine airfare would be cheapest to do the Seattle round trip cruises, rather than flying into Canada or Alaska. We would be flying out of Boston.

Any recommendations? Princess, Holland America, Carnival? I have heard lots of kids on Carnival - which we would rather not be around! - but we will be traveling the last week of August into September, so I would assume that is not a popular time for children to be traveling as school will be starting. I could be wrong.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    You should go on my cruise! Royal Caribbean, August 30, Seattle to Alaska, and then ending in Vancouver.

    I haven't been, but I'm really looking forward to it!

    It is 7 days. Leaving Friday, August 30 and returning the following Friday morning, I believe.

    Yay!  This is my plan too.  I'm flying from NYC.  I was actually doing the Vancouver to AK 7-day one-way cruise and spending a couple of days inland if possible.  I looked at flights on Kayak to Seatle round trip and to Vancouver and back via Anchorange.  The difference in price was minimal, so don't let that be your deciding factor.  I am thinking about going around 4th of July (to get the extra day or two off from work w/o paying for it).  I'm super excited for this.
