Wedding Invitations & Paper

Outer Envelopes

This is probably an incredibly dumb question but...

My inner envelope for the invitations is 6x9.  For the outer envelope, do I also get a 6x9 (will that fit?).  I can't really find anything just a smidge bigger, so any advice would be appreciated.

Also, for outer envelopes, I'm looking for black with silver foil lining (in the above mentioned size).  Has anyone seen these on any website?

TIA!

Re: Outer Envelopes

  • Outer envelopes are usually 1/4" larger in height and width than the inner envelope.

Try Cardsandpockets.com. Just ordered a bunch of bulk paper/card stock there... They do envelopes too. You can buy envelope liners, or already lined envelopes. Don't know if they do foil, but the have matte, metallic, and iridescent paper colors. You an even have a custom print pattern in your choice of color and background. Reasonably priced for what they have.
