I would like to know if anyone has had a parent become very ill and hospitalized right before their wedding. My fiance's mother was rushed to the hospital yesterday with kidney and liver failure...it's not looking good. The doctors are saying that it's too early to tell at this point, they'll know more in a couple days, but basically she has a 50/50 chance of recovery. My fiance and I are both grief stricken right now and don't know what to think. We are so excited about our wedding (which is less than 3 weeks away), but it's hard to be excited with so many uncertainties with his mom. He is crushed about the idea that she might not be there to see him get married. Has anyone else on this board been through something like this? How did you cope?
