Mystic Seaport/Latitude 41 food

Hi,

I read through some older messages about Mystic Seaport/Latitude 41 weddings and they raved about the food. I'm considering the River Room and I wanted to see if anyone had any complaints about the room or the food, more recently? It's a beautiful location, I just want to make sure people haven't seen/heard of issues being next to the restaurant.

    Hi there! I'm getting married in the River Room in April. We had our tasting not too long ago and all I can say was Wow! The food was just absolutely amazing, and there was so much of it! My parents, my future in laws, and I all took some home! We are doing stations so we tried the pasta and tortillini (amazinggg), glazed pork (also amazing) and the salads. The apps were awesome too, we tried the beef skewer, crab fritters, quesadilla and crab cakes. I cannot say enough about how good the food was. I've been telling our guests to come hungry!

    We had our reception in the River Room this past June and I had absolutely no complaints. Everything was deicious and all of our guests raved about the food. Also, the cake that came from Mystic Market as part of our package was AMAZING!

    Having our wedding there August 2012! Food was AMAZING!! I actually have a question about the dance floor (random, I know). With heels on, is it hard to dance on a floor that is tiled like that? I envison myself tripping if my heel gets caught or something. Truly this was like a nightmare I had!! The crazy things brides think of ;)

    omg, i didn't even think of that!!! lol.. oh geez
    The food is great though! We had our tasting a little over a month ago, and loved it. we're doing the lemon honey mustard chicken & steak with goronzola butter as our entrees--both were amazing. We also tried the salmon, which was really good but we just thought the chicken & beef would be better crowd-pleasers. We're probably doing the caprese salad (beautifulll presentation, btw) and still deciding on apps--but def the mini crab cakes & the chicken quesadillas, along wih 2 others. They have sooo many options and everything we tried was great.

    Getting married at the Boat Shed in the seaport in August.  We had our tasting last month and the food was great!!  We are having such a hard time deciding what to pick because everything was so good!!

    I was at a wedding in the river room a few years ago and had no problem dancing.  No one fell!

    I got married in The Morgan Suites (upstairs of Latitude) in June and the food was A-MAZ-ING!  All of my guests raved about it, and my husband and I were so excited for it after our tasting in February last year.  And the cake that came from Mystic Market as part of our package with them was fantastic!
