It's Wednesday, half way through the work week. So I thought it'd be nice to take a little break from work/school/childcare/whatever you don't want to do, and have a little poll. Just for the fun of it!

How did you and your FI meet?
We meet in college. We were in the same program.

How long have you been dating?
3 years last Sunday

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)?
we enjoyed talking and always had really good conversations. I found him easier to talk to than most people around. I didn't really know at the time how it was going to end up.

Favorite thing to do together?
play games, travel, take walks, cook.

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...)
going shopping- he can only take it in small amounts

How did you and your FI meet?
We met online, through OKCupid actually. We corresponded for several weeks and then decided to meet up in person (we were and still are students at the same university).

How long have you been dating?
We celebrate our anniversary as April 13th, which is the day we actually met in person. Making it...about 2 years and 8 months right now.

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)?
I was pretty sure he was the one even when we were just emailing back and forth and chatting online. I was nervous about meeting in person since I'm very shy, but I just kind of took a leap and did it, knowing I wanted to fight for this guy to be mine (VERY uncharacteristic of me!) What initally attracted me to him--he was very smart, clever, shared a lot of my interests, was easy to talk to.

Favorite thing to do together?
We like doing more exciting things like traveling but quiet evenings at home when we just watch TV or play video games together are the best.

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...)
Hm, I don't know if there's anything I really don't like doing with him at this point! Though I'm sure over the rest of our lives we'll find a thing or two (or six). One thing is that now that we live together we share an office to do our schoolwork, and I find it harder to work when he's in the same room.

We me through a friend, but the first time we spoke was at a bar. Don't judge!

How long have you been dating?
About 2.5 years

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)?
He was different than anyone I had ever dated and when I met him I had been on many a first dates that I was just about burnt out on dating. He was fun and took me to fun places, I just enjoyed spending time with him. He was much younger than me so I wasn't sure where it would go at the beginning. I knew he was the one when he would put up with me and my crap and still love me! Ha!

Favorite thing to do together?
Run, play games, watch tv, go to the big city (we live in small town Iowa!)

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...)
Looking at cars! He is obsessed so we always have to drive through car lots. Ugh, but I do it because I love him!

How long have you been dating? 3 years as of earlier this month

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)? I'd never given my number to someone I met at the bar before, ever. But I had recently moved to Iowa and knew only 2 other people in the entire state & I enjoyed talking to him so much that night, I gave it a chance. I think fate just took it from there.

Favorite thing to do together? Go fishing!

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...) We cannot go shopping for clothes together, I can go with him if he's buying but that's it...he's not allowed to go with me because he's just impatient. haha

Don't laugh but, we met on yahoo chat and then eventually got up enough courage to meet each other.

How long have you been dating?
almost six years

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)?
Hmm...The way he smiled at me and the way he made me laugh, I also just wanted to spend all my time with him and didn't want to be apart

Favorite thing to do together?
snowboard, watch a movie together.

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...)
He doesn't enjoy going to target with me. Apparently I'll stop and look at every little thing.

How did you and your FI meet? At School, 9th Grade in Band!!

How long have you been dating? Just under 9 years.

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)? He woudln't leave me alone, and we started hanging out realized we had a lot in common and got along very well! So I knew he was the one after a couple of years of dating and we just felt right together. It was "easy" to be with him.

Favorite thing to do together? Playing WoW, an online game.

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...) Shopping, any type of Shopping...he gets very annoyed that we have to look at anything other than what we came for!

How did you and your FI meet?
We met online on truebegginings, and spent almost two months emailing each other; I was working in an international project that took me out of the country a lot, so when I stayed for while, after 3 months, we decided to meet in person.

How long have you been dating?
Looong time with some break ups( the first for 3 months, the second for 6 months): with everything together is about 5 years and 6 months.

The reason you started dating(knew he was the one)?
First of all because he was insistent and would not give up on me. So I decided to give him a chance. I knew that he was the one when painful circumstances in life came up and we were together, caring for each other. It's really easy to share smiles and joy, but to share pain and hurt, just with the special one.

Favorite thing to do together?
Cooking, traveling, dinning out, watching tv and movies, going out with friends, and actually he likes to shop!!!!

Anything you don't enjoy doing together?(going to the mall, gift buying...)
Working around the house (outside) and fixing things. He loves doing them, I hate and would call for a professional, but he is really good doing it and I have no such skills whatsoever!
