Has anyone ever

tried the 100 pushup challenge?

I'm going to start it today, since my arms have always been a HUGE problem area.  Just wondering if anyone has had success or is currently doing it?

What do you do preferably at home to help tone your arms.  I don't have a gym membership and I mainly use Jillian Michael and Chalean Extreme.

Re: Has anyone ever

  • I haven't ever tried it.  What are the details?  I would be willing to try it with you.

Generally I use our apartment complex gym and hit the eliptical and then do flies and curls for my arms.  I have the 30 Day Shred, but FI and I got out of the habbit of using it recently.

Here's the website I found.  They also have challenges for sit ups, dips, abs and squats.
  • I could see that being seriously beneficial for those of us with lunch lady arms.  That's always a sore spot for me in pictures.  Thanks :0)

  • Lol lunchlady arms - I totally just got a visual of Chris Farley dancing around with sloppy Joe lol Jillian michaels has some great toning techniques for those problem areas. I've noticed a lot more toning since doing her ripped in 30 in combo with her yoga. Body weight training tones that area so well. Tricep dips and Kickbacks with low weights and high reps are good for that area too.

  • I've never been good at pushups. I'd love to make an attempt at it though.

FI, tried to show me how to do this last night.  OMG my body just doesn't work like that.  I almost cried.  It hurt my elbows and wrists.

I also can't do pushups from my toes, but when I was working with my trainer after doing push ups for about 3 weeks I worked myself up to 12 pushups from my toes.

Another 100 day challenge I did was burpees.

  • I'll do this with you girls too!  I'm pretty happy with where I am physically but I want to tone up my arms more.  That strapless dress requires it!!!  We should all start together.
  • i'm game too
