BM Dress - When is Too Late?

Our "Best Maid" lives a couple of hours away and we haven't been able to get together with her to look at dresses since March (and didn't see any at that time, was at David's). We're going for a visit in mid-July and will shop for dresses then. The wedding is 12/29/12. How long do BM dresses take to come in? My dress was ordered in mid-May and it's supposed to come in in Oct. I'm assuming BM dresses don't take as long as bridal, but I have no idea. 

Are we totally screwed here? :)

    I got my BM dresses at Alfred Angelo.  My wedding is 12/02 and the consultant said to order them as soon as we can, but the latest we could order and still be fine would be the beginning of August.  I think mid-July would be fine, but I would call the dress shop you're going to and ask them.

    I think you should be fine. I actually have been able to go out bridemaids dress shopping at all yet. I'm in Kansas with one maid now. The other two are back home where the wedding will be in Ohio, but they are 3.5hrs away from each other. I plan on going shopping next week while we are visiting Ohio to do some planning and get the ball rolling.

    I went bridesmaid dress shopping yesturday.  My wedding is 12.28.12  The consultant set us a goal to have the order in by 2 weeks from now, and that should get the dresses in during the first week of November and allow for any alterations that need to be made.  I think it depends on the place you are purchasing your dress and the company that manufactures the dress.  You should be fine, but realize that the closer you come to the wedding, the bridesmaids may have to pay extra to expediate the process to get the dresses in time.  Good Luck!

    I was told 3-4 months is okay by our dress shop.

    Just an update: I ended up ordering my girls dresses on June 8th. Two of the three are already in. I'm expecting the last one to be in this week or next. I was told that at the latest, they would be in by the end of August.

    i  placed my dress from this website  www.kissdresses.com ,  i received it within 2 weeks , i can say nothing bout my dress except perfect ,so cheap but pretty quality ,very beautiful ,what's more ,a custom dress  but no extra charges ,i was so surprised
