Columbus art Museum or Athletic Club of Columbus

Hello!
I am looking at the CMA and the ACC and can't decide which venue to go with for my spring 2013 wedding. Does anyone have an opinion? I will have about 140 guests and I want enough room for my guests to talk, dance and have fun.
Thanks!

  • None of the above!! ACC Everything is overpriced, hidden cost (friend was charged $10,000 plus open bar when was only to be beer and wine) at ACC. Staff is amazing but management will put the knife in your back. They do not care what you want, this is how the Atheltic Club does things and you must live with it. Stay out of downtown and go north. Polaris or Easton Hilton, Villia Milano, or Tuttle would be a beater choice. Good Luck!!

<div>Just saying, but OPs budget and idea for her wedding might be such that ACC or CMA are just perfect, and she might have a different idea of overpriced and being downtown might be a better option for her wedding than going north.</div><div>
</div><div>I've heard good things about the Columbus Museum of Art, weddings there are supposed to be beautiful. My MOH worked there and has helped set up weddings and she finds them amazing. I think it comes down to what the style you're going for. If you want more of a sit down formal dinner, ACC is probably a better bet, but if you want a coctail, I'd go CMA. </div>

  • I had my reception at the Athletic Club and everything was perfect and it certainly wasn't overpriced, at least in comparison to others places I was looking. They did everything possible to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, not at all like the above poster claims. I also must say that I would have LOVED to have my reception at the CMA. It was a bit out of my budget at the time. Although, a good friend of mine is planning hers currently for the CMA and I feel like the overall cost is probably pretty comparable to the ACC. I don't think you can go wrong with either place -- they were definitely my top two choices! :) Good luck!
  • CMoA for sure!  It's absolutely gorgeous and they partner with Cameron Mitchell for catering.  It's definitely one of the more expensive venues in the city but I think it's really gorgeous.
