Now on to the Bridesmaids.

My cousin and I are getting married two months apart and we are both having only family as our bridal party so I am trying to find some inexpensive bridesmaid dresses for the girls being that they have to pay for 2 dresses.... any suggestions?

I am going with Twobirds Bridesmaids dresses. It depends on what you think is expensive though. The dresses, to me, are a bit pricey, but I do truly believe they can be worn again since they can be made to fit so many different looks. (Maybe I'm kidding myself though Tongue out)

While the dresses are awesome and definintely can be worn again, I think they are just out of budget for my girls, but I do love them...sigh

Check out David's Bridal. My girls picked out knee length dresses and they ended up only being $99. Not sure you can beat that. GL!

I would bet that David's Bridal is going to be the way for you both to go!

Again, not sure what you consider expensive.  My girls BM dresses were Alfred Angelo and about $150.

We ordered our BM dresses from netbride.com. I was SO nervous about it but it turned out great! They were Bill Levkoff and we got them for much less than the shops were pricing us at.

Yeah, those dresses can be pricey. I've looked at David's Bridal and they do have adorable tea-length dresses for a reasonable price! GL!!!

David's Bridal could work. (The have dresses starting at $79) BUT, as many girls have said before, they would rather pay a little more money to get a dress that they can actually use again. We went through NetBride for my girls Watter's dresses and they cost around $130 or $140. Like pp said, much less than they cost in the stores!

Also, have you talked to your cousin? You should both be on the same page. Don't feel that you have to select the "cheaper" option for your girls. You might want to eacxh select a color and designer and let your BMs select what ever dress they want in that designers color. That way, if you do go the David Bridal route, someone could pick the $79 dress in black (or what ever) and someone else, who really likes one of their $159 dresses could select that dress in black because she feels that she would get more use out of it.

Also, look around. Alfred Angelo also is a particiapting designer in NetBride, so you might find something even cheaper. And I even got a quote of $120 for a Watters dress.

So ask for quotes! And talk to your cousin! What is she thinking?

    Good luck!

Hi...Have you thought about just picking a color and/or material and then letting them choose?  You can even mix up short and long dresses?  Also, check out places like J Crew, Ann Taylor and The Limited who are starting to have bridesmaid types of dresses?  Good LUCK!
Finally, I would just like to add that I have two weddings coming up and I am not a bridesmaid but I needed some new dresses so wound up spending about $90 on each one...so $180 for two dresses.  My point is that if you stay around $90-$150...its really the same cost one might spend if they were just a guest.  I do know that you can re-wear guest dresses, but still...sometimes being a bridesmaid can actually be cheaper, as far as dress shopping goes....so don't feel too bad.  It's great you are thinking of them, but it is your wedding and you only get married once so don't go crazy!
