rehersal dinner help

My fiances' grandparents are actually throwing our rehersal dinner. But they ask me whaT I want to do for it but i'm not sure. I know they don't want to go to a resturant like usual but I have no idea what to do. Plus the rehersal is at my parents home because thats where my wedding is and his grandparents house is like 40 miles away from there. so the" at thier house" option is just inconvienent. what to do?

We kept ours simple and inexpensive.  We had ours at a pizza parlor.  Originally I was going to have it at a restaurant like BJs or Claim Jumper but with 35+ people the cost was insane so we scaled back and went very casual.

Bj's isn't too expensive.  I think the basic pricing started at $10.99 or so.  I can't remember the exact cost and what it included.  Go into their restaurant and pick up the pricing menu.  I don't think they had it online.  I had to actually go into the restaurant for it.  It really was reasonably priced but I was worried with the size of our rehearsal dinner that the cost would get out of hand.  35+ ppl...OUCH!!  I know some people say to just invite the wedding party and only the people involved in the wedding but I was worried abou tthe backlash from my husband's family when I said no spouses or kids allowed.  Anyway, it all turned out great!  We had ours at Jersey's Pizza and it came out to $140 (including tax & tip)!
