Non chain restaurants for reception

Has anyone used a non-chain, vegas restaurant for their reception? I love Maggianos and their prices are great but I would like to have the reception at a restaurant that is not a chain. I am just doing a dinner, no dancing. I think a group of 30-40 and price is fairly flexible. Not over 100/head though. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

  • We are doing Trevi at CP.  I just booked 2 weeks ago and Michelle there has been great to work with.  We are expecting about 15 people and we are on the Mezzanine Level which is semi-private with a food min of $900.  She sent me over the menu selections which we are still deciding on the menu as of now.

Trevi or Mon Ami Gabi would be awesome choices. Maggianos is great though too, even though it is a chain. Awesome location, great view and ambiance. The food is top notch too... Capital Grille is above Maggianos and would offer more of a fine dining feel...

Little Buddah at the Palms is awesome, as well as the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. Some of the best food I have ever had was there.. Wink

  • What kind of food do you like?  There's a plethora of "non-chain options" in Vegas.

unfortunately Mon Ami Gabi and Capital Grille are also chains but are still great restaurants. I would have went with Capital Grille except that their beverages are by consumption including sodas and juices

  • We have some people that don't like anything too crazy.. No Asian or Indian. American or Italian would be good. I saw someone talk about firefly, not sure if that would be too different for people or not. I don't want to do Mexican since we are super picky about Mexican, being from Texas. :)
