What's your floral budget and what are you getting?

I'm helping my sister plan her wedding in October.  It's been 10 years since I've been in the planning mode and with inflation, I'm not so sure what is reasonable anymore.  And, if you don't mind, who are you using?

Thanks!

Colleen

  • I've got a pretty large wedding and getting a lot!  My florist is well under my original  budget of 3 K. 8 bouquets including mine,2 very large ceremony arrangements,  aisle flowers, 13 boutonnieres, 7 corsages, cocktail table flowers, placecard table flowers, cake flowers,  hi and low centerpieces for 17 tables, some rental pieces for staging; flower girl basket, ringbearer box; and toss bouquet.  And a flower wreath for the front door and flowers for the sweetheart table and vases for the window sills to hold bouquets.  I'm using Whimsical Welocmes for flowers.  She was more than 1K less than one othr florist and $900 less than a second and i'm getting more flowers and a lot more personal attention. I love working with Leslie.  whimsicalwelcomes.com
She's having a free event to show her flowers and give ideas that's posted on her website.
  • I used Whimsical Welcomes for my wedding last year too.  Leslie is wonderful.  For about $2000 I got 7  bouquets, 4 corsages, flower girl pomander, 2 mom's flowers; 11 boutonniers, toss bouquet, two pedastals with two vases of flowers for our outdoor ceremony, flowers for the parents' rows, rose petals for the sand ceremony table, small cocktail table flowers, a large arrangement for the table where our seating chart was put; rose petals around the chart,  flowers for 14 guest tables, cake flowers and rose petals around the base, flowers for the guestbook table, a flower box for the gift table, a thank you bouquet for my aunt,  and rose petals and vases for the head table. set-up, and delivery.  I highly recommend Leslie.  Her prices are very fair and her work is very creative.  Her blog has more recent photos than her website.  whimsicalwelcomesflowers.blogspot.com
  • Thank you.  This is so helpful, ladies!  With a 10 year difference I feel so ignorant.  I loved my florist but he has gone out of business.
