Flowergirl Dress

Did you pick your flowergirl's dress or just give them a color and let them choose? Is there an apporpriate price range?

Re: Flowergirl Dress

  • My flower girl is my MOH's daughter. She and I looked at a ton of pictures together and some stuff at stores and decided on one together. I let her figure out the price range since she was going to be the one buying it. Once I knew what her price range was, I did a little online shopping myself as well.

We knew the color we wanted and then we just found the right style/type/sillouhette for the dress.  It took longer to find the FG dress then mine or my BM's!!

  • My flower girls mom gave me her budget and will give me her size closer to and then I will pick the dress. She did as for as little tulle as possible because my FG gets irritated with it being itchy. So, I would talk to the parents of your FG and see what they would want to do.
  • For me the dress color for the flower girl had to be white or one of my wedding colors.  I had to like it, the flower girl had to like it, and her mom had to like it.  I paid for it myself since I didn't think it was fair to her mother to have to buy a dress she will never wear again.  If you are having them pay for it, I would give options in difference price ranges.

  • PinkPrincess.com is the website I picked. The flower girls' dresses were ivory and had pretty little pickups like my dress. & at a steal ended up only being like $50 a dress. They have 15 different colors for the sashes or if youre concerned I'm sure there is someone in your area that will help you make sashes out of satin. I made my own and you need about 2 1/2 yards of satin to make the bows(who'd a thought you need that much to tie a pretty bow on a tiny 3 year old)
