I'm so excited about this, and I know you'll understand!
I bought an inexpensive dress last July that I liked and I was trying to be practical....but for the past 8 months, I hadn't forgotten about the "perfect dress"...the one I tried on in June, the one way over my budget, that I just had to walk away from.
After watching too much Say Yes To The Dress and FI finally saying, "are you sure?"....I went back to Dena Marie Brida yesterday on a whim to see perfect dress #1 just in case it was on major sale almost a year later.
It wasn't. And they said no sample sale in sight. As I tried on the dress, the saleswoman asked when my wedding was, and when I told her it is May 15th this year...she said, "we can't get this dress in by then!" So I told her my story--that it was over my budget, I just couldn't stop thinking about it...and we chatted.
Then, she said, "I'm going to call the designer for you...I think she might be willing to sell you the sample off the floor."
They just called back and said yes, the designer will sell it for a discount...but it was still above my budget. I told them thank you, but it was still above my budget...SO, they asked the designer again, lowered the price again, and sold it to me for my budgeted price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe I'm going to wear my perfect dress, for a price I can afford. I also can't believe that Dena Marie Bridal went so far and above to make this happen for me.
