Outdoor ceremony/reception

Just starting the search for an outdoor venue (ideally on the water) for a ceremony and a reception.  We'd love to stay in CLE but can't find a venue that can host 200 people and isn't a bank-buster.

We started looking in Sandusky/Vermilion areas.  Any suggestions?  Sandusky Yacht Club looks good (but don't know if they accept non-members).  Any beach/lake view suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

  • There is a pavillion at Huntington Beach in Bay Village that you can reserve for something like $200.  If you go a little further out, Lake View Beach in Lorain is also reservable for weddings, but I'm not sure how much that one costs.  I hope this helps!

I'm getting married at the Vermillion on the lake Historic community center, its a big log cabin right on the lake with a space outside overlooking the lake for ceremony and whatnot. It holds 275 so it's plenty big, with very resonable pricing (i'm on a friday and its $600 from 8am to midnight!)

Since you can bring your own caters (we're looking at Sterks as well as Bread N Brew...both have good reviews and cheap pricing!) and alchohol, it can keep the cost down as well!

Feel free to ask any questions!

  • I'm using Deluca's Place in the Park in Lorain.  They have a gorgeous outdoor pavilion, that will seat up to 300 at tables.  They are very reasonably priced and you can have an outdoor reception but not have to rent every piece yourself.  It's not on the water though.

  • Whats the average for Deluca's Place ?
